Manual

This manual providers users the necessary insights to start using the Caught platform. Should any of the materials not suffice, you can always contact us.

The Caught platform has 3 environments:

  • Admin
    • The person that thinks of a Location Based App, creates and maintains it, uses this environment.
  • Host
    • The person that helps/hosts users of Location Based Applications during their usage.
  • User
    • The person or group of people that ultimately uses a Location Based App made with the Caught platform on his/her device.

This manual will use the 3 different environments to provide help and explanation.

Accounts​

Admin​

The admin account should have been provided to you by us. If not, please feel free to contact us.

Host​

To make use of the host environment you first need to create an account for 'Hosts' from the Admin environment or use the Host Quick-access code for a specific group.

Create a host account;

Click on the 'wheel' in the right upper corner of the screen in the admin environment.

Next, click on 'Add host' and fill in the details for the account. You will need to choose a password consisting of minimum 6 characters, containing lower case, upper case and a number. Securely store this password – this user has 'Host' access using the provided username/email + password.

Host Quick-access code;

Hosts can log in the host environment using the quick-access code that's generated when a "Group" is created.

User​

Accounts for users are created when you roll out an application on Group level.

Forgot your password?​

Your can reset your admin or host password by clicking on the link 'Forgot password?' This button is only visible in the web environment on https://X.caught.nu. Where X is your server name.

Enter the e-mail address that was registered to your account to receive a reset-link. Use this link to set a new password.

Sign in​

Admin​

To log in to the (demo) admin environment you visit: https://platform.caught.nu/admin/login

Your own environment can be reached on the URL that has been shared with you: (https://X.caught.nu)

Usage of the Google Chrome browser is highly recommended.

Host + User​

Logging in to the Host or User environment happens via the App. The Caught app can be downloaded via app store – if you have a private environment your own app will have been published in the App store under the chosen name.

For testing purposes you can also login to the User or Host environment by visiting https://X.caught.nu/j (X = your server name)
