The user environment is where the users will play your application (app).

'Location Services' must be allowed on the device(s) being used.

User need to download the app and login.

  • Login via username and password
  • Login via Quick Access Code
  • Login via QR-code scan

  • Enter team name (teams)

    / first- and last name (individual players)

  • Enter a 4-digit PIN code of their own choosing

    • (to prevent other users from accessing their account unwanted)
  • And – if configured – enter an e-mail address / phone number.

A warning will be shown if the group is set to expire the day after a the first team is created (One time only, up to and including selected date).

The users get a warning screen, addressing them to keep safety in mind. After that users will reach the default screen, the map.

  • The icons on the map depict the GPS location triggers that have been rolled out on the map.

Not all triggers have to be visible and/or active for the user.

  • Settings: ('gear' icon)
    • "Team name"; team name (teams)

      / "Your name"; first- and last name (individual players)

    • "Language"; switch to a different language

      • (if - multiple languages are enabled)
    • "Change team"; users can change their team (teams).

      • (users start again at make a new team / select an existing team)

      / "Restart"; users can restart the game (individual players).

      • (users start again at filling in their name)
    • "Logout"; users can log out of the application.

  • Message Inbox: ('envelope' icon)
    • Chat; chat messages from the host / the automatic messages send in chat (actions) are displayed here.
    • Assignments (tasks): assignments / automatic messages send in assignments are displayed in this inbox.
  • User buttons: ('lightning bolt' icon)
    • When selecting a user button, the user is asked for confirmation to use this button

      (title and description of the user button are shown to the user)

  • Camera: ('camera' icon)
    • "Scan a QR code"; the user can scan a QR code with their device.
      • (if - at least one QR code scan trigger is implemented in the application)
    • "Take a photo"; the user can take a photo with their device
    • "Upload a photo"; the user can upload a photo from their device.
      • (photos will be send to the host in the chat)
  • Properties: ('property' icon(s) defined in the application; e.g. 'coin' icon)
    • Users can view the current value of a property by clicking on the 'property' icon on the right side.
  • Ranking: ('medal' icon)
    • Users can view the top 10 high scores table by clicking on the 'medal' icon.
      • (if - at least one property counts for ranking (included in high score overview).
